Stones Throw Cottage is located a "stones throw" from everything that St Helen has to offer. The lake is a few block North West, and the Marathon station is in walking distance. The trails are accessible a short, rideable distance away at 25 MPH.
Master bedroom offers blackout curtains, privacy shades and a convenient luggage rack for extra room to access your things easily.
Easy access/exiting from the front of the home. Main access is through the backdoor in the kitchen. This door has a code, but is only shared in case the internet or power go out. Hopefully never!

More walking trails to enjoy the landscape. There are boats and vehicles stored on the property, but they are not a nuisance.
A look to the North West. Our property line is obvious with tall grass lining it. Plenty of deer and wildlife to enjoy.
Wrap-around access for ease of in and out traffic for our larger groups. Plenty of parking.
Our 3.4 acres has a large sand bowl for kids to enjoy. Machines are not permitted, but please help yourself an walk around to enjoy it.
Experience winter through our back acreage. It's quiet and full of wildlife. It doesn't seem you're in the middle of the city at all!

Meet Your Hosts Hi, I’m Doug. My wife and I run this vacation rental as a small family business, not a large property management company. When you book with us, you're dealing directly with the people who actually care about the property and your experience. We have three kids (18, 15, and 13), so life stays busy between work, school events, and family time. Like many of our guests, we really value time together and getting the chance to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. During the day, I work as a Master Technician at a dealership, where attention to detail and fixing things the right way are part of the job. When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my family, camping somewhere in Michigan, or building vehicles in the garage. I handle the guest communication and customer service, making sure everything goes smoothly before and during your stay. Behind the scenes is not only family, but my best friend Dave, who keeps the property running the way it should. Dave owns and operates a HVAC, plumbing, and electrical company in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and brings that professional experience to maintaining the home. Between my mechanical background and Dave’s trade expertise, we take a lot of pride in keeping everything clean, safe, and working exactly as it should.
